About the Artist:
I am Jayashree Gopi (@colour.poppins), an IT Professional residing in Chennai. Right from childhood am always interested in craft related stuffs and paintings.
We all would have used watercolors in our childhood but now am seeing it in entirely different perspective because the techniques that I have learnt has made this medium more interesting and easier.
What you'll learn at the workshop?
- How to approach a landscape painting
- How to break down the elements step by step to compose the whole new landscape
- How to convert your thought process or inspirations in to an interpretation
- How lights and shadows plays a major role in the composition
- Detail analysis about the watercolor materials available in the market
- Basic watercolour Techniques ( Blending, Gradient wash, wet on wet, wet on Dry, Layering, Glazing, Graffiti etc.)
- You will be able to Paint one A4 Landscape at the end of the workshop.
Materials Provided:
- Chitrapat Paper block A4 – 440 gsm rough grain Sheets
- Chitrapat papers blocks A4 270 GSM - for practice works
- Artists watercolour set of 24 colorus
- Masking tape
- Pebeo drawing gum
- Colour palatte
- Brushes
- Pencil / eraser / Sharpener
- Art Materials
- Lunch
