Watercolor Botanical Floral workshop by Monali on October 18th


About the Artist:

I am Monali (@monali3832) from Bangalore, India. I am a water colour artist who loves to paint detailed botanical flowers and loose landscapes. I have done my post grad in Biotechnology from CMR College, Bangalore and this is where my love for botanical art comes from. I aim to continue my love for painting and want to be a source of inspiration for others.
 

Here's what you'll learn at the workshop:

  1. To draw the basic outline or a sketch
  2. Learn how to refer an actual photograph to draw
  3. Learn how to add the first layer and create the light and dark effects
  4. Add more layers to further highlight certain areas of the painting
  5. Learn how to control water and paint
  6. Learn how to add minute details with brush for special effect

        Materials Required:

          1. Pencil
          2. Eraser
          3. Tissue papers
          4. Paint brush - Round (size 8,6,2,1,00)
          5. Watercolour cakes or tubes (Artist grade)
          6. Watercolor paper 300 GSM cold press
          7. Two water jars
          8. Mixing palette or plate

            The workshop will be hosted via Zoom. We will send you a unique Zoom link a day before the workshop for you to join.
