The Basics of Botanical Watercolor Painting by Nikita Chawda on August 4th in Bangalore


About the Artist:

Nikita Chawda (@artbynikitachawda) comes from a long line of artists which include her mother, aunt and grand mother. Their art works inspired her to pick up the brush. She has a degree in Psychology, Sociology and Economics from Christ University. Her paintings are usually plants, animals and birds, but also focus on celestial bodies. She uses acrylic paints and watercolors for most of her work.

 

 
 

Workshop Schedule:

  1. 10:30AM to 10:45AM: Introduction (the medium, the paper used, the brushes used, etc.)
  2. 10:45AM to 11:30AM: Understanding the Medium (colour mixing, doing gradations and painting a simple leaf)
  3. 11:30AM to 12:00PM: Drawing of the First Artwork (Palm Leaves)
  4. 12:00PM to 1:00PM: Painting of the First Artwork
  5. 1:00PM: 1:30PM: Lunch
  6. 1:30PM to 2:00PM: Drawing of the Second Artwork (Flower)
  7. 2:00PM to 3:00PM: Painting of the Second Artwork

    Materials Provided:

    • A set of Watercolor Tubes
    • Watercolor Sheets 300gsm A4
    • Watercolor Palette small
    • Camlin Artists Synthetic Brushes
    • Accessories: Pencil, Eraser, Sharper, Water bowl, Tissues
    The venue is Air Conditioned with comfortable seating and furniture with an audio system. The following will also be provided as part of the workshop.
