Realistic Pencil Portrait Workshop by Dhiman Roy on July 14th in Bangalore

About the Artist:

I'm a self-taught artist (@dhimanroyart) based out of Hyderabad and mostly into creating hyper-realistic artworks in graphite and charcoal pencils. I like working with other mediums as well like color pencils, pastels, water-colours and acrylics. Art is my passion, but I'm also into music, photography, sound mixing/videography. Besides that, I'm an engineer and an MBA, and a working professional for the past 8 years.


Materials Provided:

  1. A4 size white paper
  2. Graphite Pencils (HB,2B,4B)
  3. Ruler (30cm)
  4. Soft tissue papers
  5. Cotton buds
  6. Blending stumps
  7. Eraser / Sharpener

What you would learn at the workshop?

Participants would be learning basic proportions of the human face, concepts of lights and shadows, grid method of drawing and shading/blending techniques. By the end of the session, the participants would be able take home a realistic portrait drawn by them.

The venue is Air Conditioned with comfortable seating and furniture with an audio system. The following will also be provided as part of the workshop.
