About the Artist:
Dhiman Roy (@dhimanroyart), has always been fascinated with all art forms and has been actively pursuing art for the last 5 years. He primarily works with dry mediums like graphite pencils, charcoal, colour pencils and pastels to create realistic works especially portraits. He believes art is a universal language and with dedication and practice, anyone can learn and master the techniques of drawing.

Here's what you'll learn at this workshop:
Session 1: Basics of sketching (2 hours)
- Realism mindset
- Drawing tools and materials
- Basics of lights and shadows
- Andrew Loomis method
- Freehand drawing
Session 2: Parts of human face (2 hours)
- Basic anatomy of human face
- Drawing nose, ears, eyes & lips
- Drawing skin texture & hair
Session 3: Drawing from reference photo (2 hours)
- Grid method
- Choosing your subject
- Drawing in layers
- Eye for details
- A4 size drawing papers (at least 3)
- Drawing pencils (HB, 2B, 4B, 8B)
- Kneaded eraser or Tombow mono zero eraser
- Q-Tip or Cotton ear buds
- Soft paint brushes or Make-up brushes
- Paper stumps or Tortillions
- Soft tissues
- Ruler (30 cms)
- Sharpener
- Drawing board (optional)
