About the Artist:

Ankita (@nirvana_painting), a self-taught Madhubani Painter, hails from Patna. Having grown up in close proximity to Madhubani, the place where Madhubani Painting is widely practiced she has cultivated deep interest in this traditional folk art for the past 6 years which has further developed into her passion. The roots of Madhubani lies in Bihar. Her paintings were selected twice for exhibition-cum-sale at Artists’ Centre, Kala Ghoda. She is also a Therapeutic Art Life Coach, where art is used as a tool to release emotions and find meaning.

 

  

In this workshop you will be learning:

  • History about the oldest Practiced Traditional Folk art
  • Madhubani Paintings - Types and Themes
  • Basic steps of Madhubani Painting
  • Creation of Pattern
  • Filling of colour
  • Relive the artist in you and express your creative side

Materials Provided:

  • Wooden Tray
  • Acrylic Colours
  • Gloss Medium
  • Brush-Size 5, Size 000, Size 2
  • Pencil, Rubber, Sharpener, Scale
  • Xerox of designs
  • Yellow Carbon Paper
The venue is Air Conditioned with comfortable seating and furniture with an audio system. The following will also be provided as part of the workshop.
