The artist who works on the painted/sculpted merchandise at Urbankala.Spreads art through her workshops pan India.

 
About Kalamkari Art:
Kalamkari is a type of hand-painted or block-printed cotton textile, produced in Isfahan and Indian states of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. ... The Srikalahasti style of Kalamkari(Kalankari), wherein the "kalam" or pen is used for freehand drawing of the subject and filling in the colors, is entirely hand worked.you will learn to paint the motifs and understand nhowbthe painting Is the kalamkari color palette.Most forms used are Devis and gods.the intricacy is the beauty of Kalamkari.
What you'll learn in this workshop?

In this workshop they will learn to draw these stylised character and , paint them using a particular color palatte and learn to do the detailing.

Materials Required:

  • Cartridge paper or thick drawing sheet,cut them in a circle of 8 inch diameter
  • Acrylic Colors (Preferably Fevicryl) 
  • 3 to 6 number round brush to fill colors
  • 0 number brush or waterproof ink or gel pen for detailing
  • Pencil & eraser
  • Rough Cloth
  • Water container

The workshop will be hosted via Zoom. We will send you a unique Zoom link a day before the workshop for you to join.
