Kachini (Indian Folk Art) workshop by Prasannavika on August 22nd & 23rd
About the Artist:
Prasannavika (@sundarakala) is a handmade artist who is passionate about illustrative Indian folk art forms. What started off as a means to vent out some steam after long days in the corporate world, ended up becoming a passion. She started off with whatever she felt like working on, and slowly ended up discovering her love for mandalas, watercolour florals and the Bihar based folk art form of Madhubani. Almost 7 years after she started her work in the corporate world, and 3 years into experimenting with it part time, she took the plunge, quit her job and started Sundarakala.

What you will learn?
They will be taken through the birth, discovery and history of the art form for the first 20 minutes of the session, followed by the hands on experience.
During the hands-on session, I will be illustrating along and telling them the major characteristics, patterns and flow of the Kachini art form that make it unique. By the end of the session, the aim is to have a finished Kachini piece with them.
