Introduction to Dip Nib Calligraphy by Priarna on October 20th in Kolkata
About the Artist:
Priarna Samanta is a self taught Calligraphy and Hand-lettering artist based in Kolkata. Calligraphy happened to her two and half years ago accidentally when she was going through a rough patch.She needed a creative outlet and that's when she came across some beautiful calligraphy and lettering works by artists around the world on Instagram. Next few months were spent browsing through a zillion of tutorials,figuring out what tools to use and what pens and inks to purchase from the local Indian market and then she was head over heels with the art form.And that's when she launched her own lettering account on Instagram (@mystiqueletters) where she regularly posts her works and connects with her encouraging follower fam!
What you'll learn at the workshop?
Have you ever thought - "Oh! No! My handwriting is bad" but badly wanted to write a nice fancy note or letter to someone? -
Then this is your chance to learn the decorative and super relaxing form of writing, keeping in mind the basic strokes and rules of Calligraphy. Priarna will guide you through all the basic drills and give you tricks to achieve a good calligraphy piece even if your handwriting is not good and finally guide you to write a letter to your loved one !

- Nibs - Leonardt 41 (Hiro) / Leonardt 40 (Steno)
- Camlin Drawing Ink
- Brustro Bristol Paper
- Paper Towels
The venue is Air Conditioned with comfortable seating and furniture with an audio system. The following will also be provided as part of the workshop.
