Dokra Art Workshop by Aparna on September 29th in Mumbai


About the Artist:

My name is Aparna Sheth (@aparna.sheth), I have been in the teaching field for the past 30 years, conducting art and craft related creative workshops. 

 

What you will learn at the workshop:

Dokhra art is a metal casting technique of the early human civilisations. We would be using fevicryl's mould it clay and colours to replicate the same, with antique effect of the artifacts of that ancient period. In this workshop, each participant would be learning clay moulding creatively, and transcend to the time period of the Dokhra. They will be learning to lend 2D effect in clay moulding, painting and shading.

    Materials Provided:

    1. Fineart canvas board size 8"×10"inches
    2. Fevicryl mouldit packets
    3. Fevicryl acrylic lilac kit
    4. Fevicol glue
    5. Fevicryl pearl metallic gold
    6. Fineart brushes
    7. Regular talcum powder and toothpicks
      The venue is Air Conditioned with comfortable seating and furniture with an audio system. The following will also be provided as part of the workshop.
