Charcoal Art Workshop by Gunjan Daga on August 18th in Kochi

About the Artist:

Gunjan Daga (@gunjandaga_arts) is a 27 year old Artist based out of Kolkata. She is a commerce graduate but her passion lies in art. She believes that having not attended any formal art school has given her self confidence and the ability to grow in an unconventional manner. She enjoys dabbling different techniques and experimenting with various media including acrylic, watercolor, soft pastel and pencil colors. 

 

 

You will learn the following in this workshop:

  1. The types of charcoal
  2. The types of blending tools
  3. Tips and tricks of working with charcoal
  4. Importance of tonal variations and blends
  5. How to improve observation in order to create a realistic sketch
  6. Participants would make a complete sketch towards the end of the workshop.
Materials Provided:
  1. 120 gsm A4 sheets( for rough work)
  2. 120 gsm A3 sheet (for the final sketch)
  3. Camel compressed charcoal stick
  4. Camel charcoal pencil set
  5. Eraser
  6. Paper stumps
  7. HB pencil
  8. Kneaded eraser
The venue is Air Conditioned with comfortable seating and furniture with an audio system. The following will also be provided as part of the workshop.
