I am Rakesh Malik (@rakeshmalik_art), a part-time painter and a full-time software developer at Fourkites Inc. I am originally from Howrah and currently based in Chennai. I mainly work on acrylic landscapes, seascapes, birds etc.. I have been painting in acrylic since 2017 and recently picked up oil as well.”

About the Workshop:
In this workshop, we are going to learn the basics of acrylic painting and how to paint a sea wave, using acrylic. You need the following materials or similar ones to be able to attend the workshop.
In this workshop, we are going to learn the basics of acrylic painting and how to paint a sea wave, using acrylic. You need the following materials or similar ones to be able to attend the workshop.
Materials Required:
- Canvas or >=200GSM thick paper
- Set of Acrylic paint tubes
- Black
- White
- Prussian Blue or any dark blue
- Viridian Hue or Permanent Light Green or Phthala Green or any green that can be mixed with blue to achieve similar hue as Viridian
- Burnt Sienna or Burnt Umber or Raw Umber
- Any Round brush between size no. 6 to 10
- Any Round brush between size no. 1 to 4
- Any size Flat brush
- Palette
- Water, Cloth/Tissue
- Pencil, Eraser
Date and Time:
This workshop is for 6 hours and is split into 4 sessions on 18th and 19th April.
- First Session: 18th April - 10.30am to 12pm
- Second Session: 18th April - 4pm to 5.30pm
- Third Session: 19th April - 10.30am to 12pm
- Fourth Session: 19th April - 4pm to 5.30pm
