When I ask what drew her to painting watercolors, Preeti says “I feel that Watercolors have a mind of their own. They have a nice flow to them and they tell their own stories”
Occasionally you come across a person who says things like, “I used to paint/sing/dance”, people who threw in the towel, because they couldn’t find that precious balance between work and passion. Listening to Kalpesh, one gets the impression that he’s doing a fine job balancing both.
“I always used to tell people that I wanted to become an Artist, some people would laugh when they heard that” From Vinoth’s success it looks like he’s the one having the last laugh.
He began sketching at the age of ten, went on to get a degree in fine arts and is now a successful freelance illustrator and artist conducting international Caricature Workshops and giving TEDx talks. So maybe letting your kids chase their dreams can’t be that bad…right?
